Remembering to give your self a few minutes of priority is number one in keeping your life in balance and flowing. Every day has its ups and downs, sometimes we can get lost in the challenges and forget the good stuff that keeps us going.
Here's a list of 10 ways for you to keep yourself full up and moving with more joy and abundance in your life.

Get Outside into Nature
Take a walk, sit with a tree and listen. You might be surprised at the messages you receive, trees offer great wisdom. If you are a water lover, find a lake, a stream or tune into the ocean. You're liable to get swept up into the flow of life in a whole new way.
Whatever way you enjoy it, pull nature into your life some way.

Get some pet love
Grab a few minutes of down time with your pet, or someone elses. They'll love the play time and so will you, not to mention all the great cuddles that will fill you back up.

Grab a few extra Zzz's
Is there anything more decadent and life giving than extra sleep time, a morning lay in or quick afternoon nap. Even 30 minutes can make a big difference so indulge yourself and give your body and brain some downtime for renewal.

In a world of online work and social media, take a break, immerse yourself into a favorite book. No work or educational genres required! :) Reading is a great way to disappear and give your brain a rest from its usual worry and activities.

Drink Water
Too little water can cause headaches, fatigue, dizzness and dry skin. These can leave you feeling exhausted at any time, but especially during the busy holiday season. Find a way to track your water intake and try for at least 8 glasses per day, even if you start with just an extra couple of glasses at first.

Luxuriate in a Bath
Ahhhh ... take a long soak in a the bath. Add your favorite bath bombs, scents, some candles, music and take a favorite book to read while your body absorbs more water and muscles enjoy some relaxation time.

It doesn't have to be long, just 5 minutes of meditation will help clear your mind and give you some mental space when you have lots on the go. Take a moment, even if its just to close your eyes and breathe.

When is the last time you sat down and played a board game, card game or even threw some darts at your local pub? Plan for some fun with friends and family, and give yourself a whole different laughing kind of down time.

And last, but not least, take some time to share your thoughts and feelings with yourself. This may be the most important self care tip of all. Lastly, it brings you more self awareness and that can be one of the most renewing and revitalizing self care of all.
